Description
Scotia, also commonly referred to as beading, is simply designed to cover the edge of the room where expansion gaps have been left during the fitting of your new floor. Our MDF scotia is 18mm thick and supplied in set lengths of 2.4 metres, which are available in various colours to complement numerous flooring decors and skirting. We normally recommend, that this product is nailed into the skirting, in conjunction with small amounts of Gripfill/Adhesive for a resilient bond.

How To Fit Or Use Your Accessory:
Beading/scotia simply serves the purpose of hiding the expansion gap between your flooring and your skirting. Beading is a great tool if you do not want the hassle of removing your skirting boards, which can be a lengthy process.
In order to make sure you have enough scotia to cover the parameter of your room, measure the outside of your room (i.e. if your room is 4m x 4m, you will require 16m of beading, plus 20% for off cuts, totalling approximately 19.2m of beading).
To adhere the beading to your wall, simply place the beading along the join of your skirting and flooring. We recommend using a nail gun in order to nail your beading into your skirting boards to create a clean, flush finish.
