It fits over the front edge of each step, where a staircase takes the most wear, and gives laminate, engineered wood or LVT treads a clean, finished nose.

What it does

The nose of a step is the part your heel strikes on the way down, so it is the first place a floor chips, lifts or wears through. A metal nosing covers that edge, protects the flooring behind it and gives each step a clear, defined line, which helps people see where the tread ends.

What it works with

It is listed for use with laminate flooring, engineered wood flooring and luxury vinyl (LVT).
