It suits farmhouse kitchens, country living rooms and any space where you want the floor to look natural and a little rugged rather than polished.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eConstruction and specification\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eA 14\/3mm build means 14mm in total, with 3mm of real oak forming the surface you walk on. Beneath it sits a multi-ply base of cross-laid layers, which resists the swelling and shrinking that solid boards can suffer as heating and humidity change. Oil nourishes the timber from within and keeps a natural, matt feel; it benefits from a maintenance oil now and then. Boards are 1900mm long and 190mm wide, with 2.888 m² in every pack.
