Mid-brown floors are forgiving: they disguise dust, crumbs and small scuffs better than very pale or very dark shades. The textured and embossed surface gives the grain some depth, and the 4V bevels mark out each board. It sits well with warm whites, mushroom and taupe walls, and with painted or oak furniture, and suits family kitchens and living rooms alike.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eConstruction and specification\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eWith a 12mm core, the floor has a sturdy, grounded feel that suits busy family rooms. The planks measure 188mm by 1195mm, long enough to run cleanly through a room with few joints. Each pack covers 1.35 m² of floor. AC5 is the highest wear class you will usually see on laminate, rated for heavy commercial traffic, which gives plenty of headroom in a busy home. In a kitchen, wipe up spills and standing water promptly, as you would with any laminate. Choose the right \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/flooring-underlay\"\u003eunderlay for laminate\u003c\/a\u003e for your subfloor; it evens out minor bumps and cuts down noise. Allow roughly 10% extra on top of the floor area for cuts and waste.
