Narrow boards give a traditional pattern that suits smaller rooms and period homes, and the warm tone softens rooms decorated in white, cream or pale green.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eConstruction and specification\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eA 14\/3mm build means 14mm in total, with 3mm of real oak forming the surface you walk on. The core is multi-ply, with layers running in opposite directions so the board stays flat through the seasons. Boards are 125mm wide and supplied in random lengths so the end joints fall naturally; one pack covers 1.8 m². With a bevel on the long edges only (2V), the floor has clear lengthwise lines and quieter end joints. The lacquer forms a sealed coat on top of the wood, so everyday spills wipe off and routine cleaning is simple. The 3mm top layer can be sanded and refinished when it eventually needs it.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eWhere it works\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt suits living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways, and it can also be used in kitchens and conservatories. When you work out quantities, add around 10% for offcuts and waste.
