The oiled finish keeps the surface matt, so the grey looks natural rather than painted. Under the face is a cross-bonded multi-ply core, which is what lets an engineered plank cope with central heating better than a solid board of the same size. Planks measure 190mm wide by 1900mm long, and each pack covers 2.166 m². The long edges are bevelled (2V), so you see the long lines of the boards while the ends butt up tight. An oiled finish soaks into the wood rather than sitting on top, and worn patches can be re-oiled locally instead of refinishing the whole floor.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eWhere it works\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eUse it through the main rooms of the house: living room, dining room, hallway and bedrooms, plus kitchens and conservatories.
