Beneath it sits a multi-ply base of cross-laid layers, which resists the swelling and shrinking that solid boards can suffer as heating and humidity change. Oil nourishes the timber from within and keeps a natural, matt feel; it benefits from a maintenance oil now and then. Boards are 2200mm long and 220mm wide, with 2.904 m² in every pack.
