The 95mm blocks create a detailed herringbone layout, and the textured and embossed surface adds definition to the oak design. It is oak-effect laminate, not solid or engineered oak. It suits period homes, snugs and dining rooms, and looks good with warm white walls, leather, brass and plenty of greenery.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eConstruction and specification\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eBeing 12mm thick, each block gives a reassuring, solid step and a calmer sound underfoot compared with thinner laminate. AC5 is the highest wear class you will usually see on laminate, rated for heavy commercial traffic, which gives plenty of headroom in a busy home. Packs cover 1.607 m² each, so round up to the next full pack. At 95mm by 470mm, the blocks are proportioned like traditional parquet. Herringbone takes more cutting at the walls than straight planks, so add about 10% to your room size for cuts and waste. It is suitable for underfloor heating.
