Description
White Oak scotia is a whitened oak-effect bead: pale, but with a hint of wood tone rather than a flat white. It is 18mm thick, made from MDF and sold in 2.4m lengths to cover the perimeter gap of a new floor.
Where it suits
Match it to white-washed and limed oak floors and very pale Nordic-style boards. It keeps the edge light while still looking like part of the floor, which plain white paint does not always manage. Coastal, Scandinavian and minimal rooms with white skirting are a natural fit.
Fitting guidance
Use it with solid wood, engineered wood or laminate. We recommend nails into the skirting board with a little grab adhesive, such as Gripfill, behind the bead. The floor stays free to move under it. If you would rather match plain white skirting than the floor, see our White scotia in the scotia beading range.
