Click LVT is luxury vinyl flooring that locks together like laminate, with a waterproof core and a realistic wood-effect surface. It suits kitchens, bathrooms, family rooms and homes with pets, and it is easy to lay yourself.
Yes. Luxury vinyl tiles and planks are made from vinyl layers, so the boards themselves are not damaged by water. That makes them a good choice for bathrooms, kitchens and utility rooms. Seal the edges with a suitable sealant in bathrooms and wipe up standing water, so it cannot get beneath the floor.
The wear layer is the clear top film that protects the printed design. For bedrooms and living rooms, 0.3mm is ample. For kitchens, hallways, homes with large dogs and light commercial areas, 0.5mm or more gives extra protection. Our click LVT is split between the two, so choose according to how hard the room works.
Click LVT locks together and floats, so it is faster to lay, suitable for DIY and more tolerant of small subfloor imperfections. Glue-down LVT is thinner and bonded to a smoothed subfloor, which makes it very stable, quiet and suited to large or commercial areas, but it is usually a professional job.
It depends on the product. Some click LVT has an underlay already attached, while others need a thin, dense underlay made for vinyl. Thick foam underlays designed for laminate can make click joints flex, so always check the product specification before buying underlay.
It is one of the best choices. It is waterproof, so accidents and water bowls are not a problem, and the textured surface offers grip for paws. It is also quieter underfoot than laminate. Choose a 0.5mm wear layer for large, active dogs.
The click LVT range is split almost evenly between long planks and herringbone. Planks are 182mm wide and 1220mm long. Herringbone blocks are 100mm to 135mm wide and 540mm to 610mm long. Every design is a wood effect, mostly oak, with textured surfaces that follow the grain.
Boards are 5mm to 6.5mm thick. The figure to compare is the wear layer, the clear protective film over the printed design: about half the range has 0.3mm, and half 0.5mm. The 0.3mm floors suit most rooms in a home; the 0.5mm floors give more headroom for busy hallways, large dogs and light commercial use.
Because the boards are waterproof, click LVT is at home in bathrooms and utility rooms as well as kitchens. It floats, so it can go down without adhesive over a flat subfloor. Around half the range is confirmed for underfloor heating in its spec. Edges are 4V bevelled or micro-bevelled.
See click LVT herringbone and click LVT planks. If you need a thinner, glued floor for a commercial space, compare glue-down LVT.
The wear layer, not the board thickness, decides how an LVT floor lasts.
