Description
Our 8mm aluminium stair nosing gives the edge of each step a hard-wearing metal finish. It is sold in a 2.7m length, which you cut down to the width of your treads.
Why stairs need nosing
Every time someone walks down the stairs, the front edge of the tread takes the impact. Without a nosing, the edge of a wood or laminate board is exposed and can chip or split over time. An aluminium profile protects that edge and makes the line of each step easier to see.
Floors it suits
This version is listed for laminate, engineered wood and solid wood. Make sure the 8mm thickness matches the flooring on your stairs. For thicker floors, we also sell a deeper aluminium nosing, and there is a solid oak stair lipping for a wood-on-wood finish. See them all in our stair nosing collection.
