Description
Silver Timbermate is the 2mm heavy duty underlay in the Timbermate range. It is a fleece-backed natural rubber that keeps laminate and engineered wood floors steady and quieter, supplied in packs of 10 m².
Why rubber
Rubber underlay is firmer and more stable than a basic foam. It limits movement in a floating floor, so joints are under less strain and the floor wears more slowly. It also soaks up impact and internal noise, and can take out minor imperfections in the subfloor. A silver vapour barrier film helps keep your flooring dry.
Good places for it
It is often used in commercial spaces and in homes with heavy foot traffic, such as hallways and busy family rooms, and suits both ground floor and upstairs rooms over wood or concrete subfloors. It is listed for laminate and engineered wood.
Heated floors
Silver Timbermate is not recommended over underfloor heating. For a heated room, look at the heating-friendly options in our flooring underlay collection.

We offer fast and reliable delivery across mainland England, Wales and selected areas of Scotland – free to mainland England on orders over £500.
All orders are delivered via pallet to the nearest accessible point at your property (e.g. driveway or pavement). Drivers are unable to carry items inside, so please ensure someone is available to receive and check the order on arrival.
Returns: unopened packs in resaleable condition can be returned within 30 days of delivery.
