Description

This solid oak T profile is a 0.9m door strip for joining two floors that finish at the same height. Its T shape covers the joint across a doorway, giving a tidy break between rooms.

When to choose a T profile

Wood floors need a small gap where they stop at a doorway, and where two floors meet at the same level a flat bridge is all that is needed. The T profile sits over both edges and hides the gap, without any slope. It is listed for solid wood floors.

Fitting

  • Cut to the width of your doorway
  • Screw the channel into the subfloor with the fixings supplied, or use a suitable adhesive
  • Tap the oak profile gently into the channel

Fitted this way, the strip holds securely and avoids a trip hazard at the threshold. If one floor is higher than the other, you will need a ramp or semi ramp instead; find them in our door thresholds range, alongside other flooring accessories.
