Description
Techboard is a 5mm underlay that comes as rigid boards rather than a roll. Each board is 790 x 590mm and a pack covers 7 m². It adds cushioning and support under laminate and engineered wood floors.
What it does
Boards give a firmer, more even base than thin foam. Techboard absorbs impact, reduces noise and can level minor imperfections in the subfloor, so small dips and bumps are less likely to show through the floor or strain the joints.
Where to use it
It is listed for laminate and engineered wood over wood or concrete subfloors. The extra thickness is useful where you want more comfort and sound reduction, for example in upstairs rooms.
Underfloor heating
Techboard is not recommended with underfloor heating. For heated floors, choose one of the heating-friendly products in our flooring underlay range.
Ordering
Measure the room, add about 10% for cuts and waste, then divide by 7 m² per pack. Lay the boards tightly together and stagger the joints. Browse laminate flooring to go on top.

Delivery Information
We offer fast and reliable delivery across mainland England, Wales and selected areas of Scotland – free to mainland England on orders over £500.
All orders are delivered via pallet to the nearest accessible point at your property (e.g. driveway or pavement). Drivers are unable to carry items inside, so please ensure someone is available to receive and check the order on arrival.
Returns: unopened packs in resaleable condition can be returned within 30 days of delivery.
