Linen Oak 90mm Solid Chevron

Linen Oak is a pale, beige-toned solid oak chevron, made from 15mm solid oak blocks 90mm wide and 510mm long. An invisible lacquer protects the surface while keeping the look of raw, untreated oak, so the floor stays light and soft.

Look and character

Invisible lacquers are designed to seal the wood without darkening or yellowing it, which is why Linen Oak keeps a pale, almost unfinished look. The beige tone is subtle and natural, and the chevron layout, with its blocks meeting at an angle to form a continuous V, gives a strong sense of direction that can lead the eye along a hallway or across a living room. As a Classic grade, it shows natural grain and some knots. A 4V bevel on each block keeps the points of the chevron sharp.

Construction and specification

Linen Oak is 15mm of solid oak from top to bottom, with no plywood or fibreboard core. That matters over the long run: because the oak goes all the way through, the floor can be sanded back and refinished many more times than an engineered board, so it can be refreshed as it ages. The blocks are 90mm wide and 510mm long, and each pack covers 1.47 m².

Where it works

Fitting

It can be laid tongue and groove, glued down or nailed down to a sound subfloor. Add around 10% to your order for cuts and waste, and trim the perimeter with scotia beading.
