Natural Oak 90mm Solid Chevron

Natural Oak Chevron is a 15mm solid oak parquet laid in a continuous V pattern. The 90mm by 510mm blocks are brushed and UV oiled, bringing out the natural mid tone and grain of the oak in a floor with real presence.

Look and character

Chevron differs from herringbone in that the block ends are cut at an angle, so they meet in a clean point rather than overlapping, forming neat arrows across the room. Here the pattern is paired with a natural medium oak colour, brushed to lift the grain and finished with UV oil for a soft, low-sheen look. Classic grade blocks carry natural knots and grain variation that make the pattern feel alive. A 4V bevel sharpens the outline of each block.

Construction and specification

Solid wood means exactly that: each block is a single piece of oak, 15mm thick. There is no thin top layer to wear through, so the surface can be sanded and refinished more often than an engineered floor over its life. The blocks are 90mm wide and 510mm long, with 1.47 m² in each pack, and the Classic grade allows natural knots and grain variation.

Fitting

Natural Oak can be fitted tongue and groove, glued down or nailed down, depending on your subfloor. Solid wood should be left to acclimatise in the room before fitting, and it is a job best done by an experienced fitter. Finish the edges with scotia beading, and add about 10% to your room size for cuts and waste. Patterned floors like this need more cuts at the room edges, so don't skimp on the extra.
