Natural Brushed Oak 190mm Engineered Plank

Natural Brushed Oak is a click-fit engineered plank from our Chicago range, made for a quicker, cleaner installation. Its 190mm by 1900mm boards are brushed and oiled over a 3mm real oak top layer.

Look and character

The colour is a warm, natural oak, the middle ground that works with most interiors. Brushing lifts the grain so you can feel it underfoot and see more depth in the surface, while the oil keeps the look matt and close to raw wood. Classic grade oak brings small knots and gentle colour changes, enough to feel natural without looking rustic. It is a relaxed, versatile floor for family living rooms, bedrooms and kitchen-diners, and a good choice if you want real oak without a long installation.

Construction and specification

The board is 14mm thick overall, and the top 3mm is real oak. The core is multi-ply, with layers running in opposite directions so the board stays flat through the seasons. Boards are 1900mm long and 190mm wide, with 2.888 m² in every pack. A small bevel on all four edges (4V) outlines every board, so the planks read individually and minor height differences are hidden. The oil finish is easy to refresh: scuffed areas can be cleaned and re-oiled without sanding the whole room.

Where it works

Use it through the main rooms of the house: living room, dining room, hallway and bedrooms, plus kitchens and conservatories. It can go up the stairs as well, finished with matching stair nosing on each tread.

Fitting and underfloor heating

A click profile makes it quick to lay as a floating floor over a suitable underlay. It can be laid over underfloor heating; more choices are in our underfloor heating flooring collection. When you work out quantities, add around 10% for offcuts and waste. Finish the room edges with scotia beading to cover the expansion gap.
