Pale Invisible Oak 190mm Engineered Plank

Pale Invisible Oak is a click-fit engineered plank from our Chicago range, with a smooth, pale face that looks almost untreated. Its 190mm by 1900mm boards lock together to lay as a floating floor.

Look and character

The surface is smooth rather than brushed, which lets the fine, delicate grain of the oak show cleanly. The invisible finish protects the wood without adding sheen or colour, so the floor keeps a raw, natural look. The tone is light and fresh, a soft pale oak that brightens a room without looking white. Classic grade keeps knots small and the overall effect calm. It suits minimalist and modern interiors, bright bedrooms and living spaces where you want a light, airy floor.

Construction and specification

The board is 14mm thick overall, and the top 3mm is real oak. A multi-ply core does the structural work, keeping movement low when the room warms up or cools down. Planks measure 190mm wide by 1900mm long, and each pack covers 2.888 m². All four edges carry a 4V bevel, which gives each plank a crisp outline across the room. Its invisible finish is designed to keep the pale, raw look of bare oak while still protecting the surface.

Where it works

Use it through the main rooms of the house: living room, dining room, hallway and bedrooms, plus kitchens and conservatories. Carrying the floor up the staircase is possible; use stair nosing to finish the tread edges neatly.

Fitting and underfloor heating

Installation is click and floating: boards angle into each other and lock, resting on an underlay rather than fixed down. If you float it, pick an underlay from our flooring underlay range to go beneath it. Finish the room edges with scotia beading to cover the expansion gap.
