Natural Lacquered Oak is a chevron floor that keeps things simple: mid-toned natural oak, a smooth lacquered surface and a crisp V pattern. The 90mm boards are engineered with a 3mm real oak top layer.
The colour is medium natural oak, warm and unstained, letting the timber show its own tone. The lacquered finish is smooth and adds a gentle sheen while sealing the surface against everyday wear. Rustic grade brings knots and grain variation, giving each row of Vs a visual rhythm. It is a practical, easy-to-clean choice for busy family homes and open-plan spaces.
The 14/3mm figures describe two parts of the same board: 14mm is the full thickness, and 3mm of that is the real oak top layer you see and walk on. The 3mm layer is a common, practical depth for engineered oak, and a fitter can usually give it a light sand in the future. Engineering the board this way keeps it flatter and more stable than a solid block of the same size. Each board is 90mm wide and 510mm long, with angled ends that meet point to point to form a continuous V. A 4V bevel puts a small chamfer on all four edges, so every board is outlined and the pattern reads crisply. Each pack covers 1.46 m².
It is listed for kitchens, conservatories, hallways, bedrooms, dining rooms and living rooms, as well as stairs. In a kitchen, mop up spills promptly, as real oak is not waterproof. The V pattern works well running through open-plan kitchens and dining rooms, linking the spaces. See more engineered chevron floors if you want to compare. If you are continuing up the stairs, choose matching stair nosing for the tread edges.
The tongue and groove boards can be floated or glued down, depending on your subfloor. If you float it, choose a suitable flooring underlay first. It is suitable for underfloor heating; see our underfloor heating flooring for more options. Chevron involves more cutting than a straight plank floor, so add about 10% to your measured area for cuts and waste. Cover the expansion gap at the walls with scotia beading.
Colour and grain vary from board to board, so it pays to see Natural Lacquered Oak at home before you buy. Order up to 3 large free samples, or call us on 0121 274 8575 and we can help you choose.
This product features a Tongue & Groove installation system. It can be floated over an underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor.
