Natural Oak 90mm Solid Herringbone

Natural Oak Herringbone is a traditional solid oak parquet, made from 18mm solid oak blocks 90mm wide and 300mm long. Brushed and finished with a matt lacquer, it gives the look of a classic parquet floor with a protected, low-sheen surface.

Look and character

The natural medium oak colour keeps the focus on the pattern itself. Brushing lifts the grain so you can feel its texture, and the matt lacquer protects the surface without a shiny coat. Classic grade oak brings natural knots and grain movement to each block, so the herringbone looks like a floor made from real timber, because it is. The 4V bevel gives each block a crisp edge and makes the zigzag easy to read.

Construction and specification

Natural Oak is 18mm of solid oak from top to bottom, with no plywood or fibreboard core. That matters over the long run: because the oak goes all the way through, the floor can be sanded back and refinished many more times than an engineered board, so it can be refreshed as it ages. The blocks are 90mm wide and 300mm long, and each pack covers 1.08 m².

Where it works

Fitting

It can be laid tongue and groove, glued down or nailed down to a sound subfloor. Add around 10% to your order for cuts and waste, and trim the perimeter with scotia beading. Patterned floors like this need more cuts at the room edges, so don't skimp on the extra. If your home has underfloor heating, talk to us first so we can confirm it will work with your system.
