Natural Oiled Oak 220mm Engineered Plank, 20/4mm

Natural Oiled Oak in the 20/4mm build is a wide, generous plank from our Nevada range. Boards 220mm wide and 2200mm long give a calm, spacious floor, finished simply with oil.

Look and character

The colour is warm natural oak with distinct grain patterns, and a plain oiled finish that keeps it matt and understated. Without brushing, the surface is smooth to the touch, so the grain provides the interest rather than texture. Classic grade oak keeps knots small, which suits the long, wide format and keeps the look clean. It works well in larger living rooms and open-plan spaces, and pairs easily with both contemporary and traditional furniture.

Construction and specification

Boards are 2200mm long and 220mm wide, with 2.42 m² in every pack. Each plank is 20mm deep, with a 4mm real oak top layer bonded to the core. The core is multi-ply, with layers running in opposite directions so the board stays flat through the seasons. An oiled finish soaks into the wood rather than sitting on top, and worn patches can be re-oiled locally instead of refinishing the whole floor. With a bevel on the long edges only (2V), the floor has clear lengthwise lines and quieter end joints. A 4mm top layer gives you scope to sand out wear and refinish when the floor needs a refresh.

Where it works

It suits living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways, and it can also be used in kitchens and conservatories. Carrying the floor up the staircase is possible; use stair nosing to finish the tread edges neatly.

Fitting and underfloor heating

You can glue it down or lay it floating; the tongue and groove edges join each board to the next. Order about 10% more than the floor area to cover cuts and waste. For a floating installation, choose a flooring underlay that matches your subfloor.
