Toffee Timber Oak 220mm Engineered Plank

Toffee Timber Oak is named for its colour: a rich caramel brown that brings warmth to any room. It comes on wide 220mm Nevada planks, 2200mm long, brushed and UV oiled.

Look and character

The tone is a deep golden brown, like toffee or caramel, darker than a honey oak but with a warm glow rather than a smoky cast. Brushing brings out the natural grain patterns, and the UV oil keeps the surface matt so the colour looks natural rather than coated. Classic grade selection keeps knots small. Wide, long boards let that warm colour spread across the room in a calm, confident way. It suits cosy living rooms, dining rooms and traditional homes, and pairs well with cream, terracotta and deep green.

Construction and specification

Planks measure 220mm wide by 2200mm long, and each pack covers 2.904 m². Wide boards mean fewer joints and a calmer, more expansive floor. A 14/3mm build means 14mm in total, with 3mm of real oak forming the surface you walk on. The core is multi-ply, with layers running in opposite directions so the board stays flat through the seasons. UV oil is cured with ultraviolet light during manufacture, so the surface is hard-wearing from the day it is laid. All four edges carry a 4V bevel, which gives each plank a crisp outline across the room.

Where it works

It suits living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways, and it can also be used in kitchens and conservatories. For stairs, pair it with stair nosing so each step has a clean, safe edge.

Fitting and underfloor heating

You can glue it down or lay it floating; the tongue and groove edges join each board to the next. It is suitable for underfloor heating. If you float it, pick an underlay from our flooring underlay range to go beneath it. When you work out quantities, add around 10% for offcuts and waste. Finish the room edges with scotia beading to cover the expansion gap.
