White Washed Oak 150mm Engineered Herringbone

White Washed Oak is a bright, fresh herringbone in wide 150mm blocks, with click joints for a floating installation. It has a 3mm real oak top layer on a 14mm multi-ply base.

Look and character

The colour is light, with a white wash over the oak that brightens the floor while letting the grain show. Rustic grade adds knots and colour variation, giving character to the pale tone. The surface is brushed and UV lacquered, sealed for everyday wear with a gentle texture. It makes rooms feel light and airy, and suits coastal, Scandinavian and modern country schemes.

Construction and specification

Wide 150mm blocks, 600mm long, give a relaxed, large-scale zigzag that suits open-plan living. Under the 3mm real oak surface sits a multi-ply base, bringing each block to 14mm in total. A multi-ply base gives a more stable floor than solid oak of the same look, and that matters in a pattern where every joint is on show. 3mm of real oak gives you the grain and feel of timber, with scope for a careful professional sand later on. The 4V bevelled edges give each block a fine shadow line on all four sides. A pack covers 1.8 m² of floor.

Where it works

Laid lengthways down a hallway, a herringbone draws the eye through the space. It is suitable for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways, kitchens and conservatories, and it can be used on stairs too. On stairs, finish each tread with stair nosing.
