Ashbourne Fine Herringbone Glue Down LVT

Ashbourne Fine Herringbone lays a medium beige oak effect in narrow blocks, for a tight parquet pattern made from waterproof glue-down vinyl. It sits in the middle of the tonal range, warm without being dark.

Look and character

A medium beige tone gives the herringbone a soft, sandy warmth. The pattern is noticeable but not loud, which suits rooms where you want detail on the floor and a calm overall look. Long, slim blocks stretch the zigzag, giving a more graceful, elongated pattern than short parquet blocks. It pairs well with off-white walls, oatmeal fabrics and oak or painted furniture.

Construction and specification

Blocks are 76mm wide and 457.2mm long, a slim, elongated shape that gives a fine herringbone. At 2.5mm thick, the floor adds very little height, which helps where door clearances or the level of the next room matter. A 0.55mm clear wear layer shields the design underneath from everyday traffic. It is rated for domestic and commercial use, so it can handle busy family life as well as commercial spaces. Coverage is 3.34 m² per pack, which the calculator uses to round your order up to whole packs.

Where it works

It suits living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways, and it can continue into the kitchen, bathroom and conservatory. Herringbone looks particularly good in hallways, where the pattern leads you through the house. Being waterproof, it copes with the splashes of a family bathroom and the spills of a busy kitchen. Fitting and underfloor heating

Every block is glued to the subfloor, which gives a firm, stable floor that stays put. The subfloor needs to be smooth, level and dry first, as a thin vinyl will show any bumps beneath it; a levelling compound or ply overlay is usual. Order about 10% more than your measured area; the angled cuts at the walls use up extra blocks. It is suitable for underfloor heating.
