Zaragoza Oak Herringbone Glue Down LVT

Zaragoza Oak Herringbone is a black-toned oak effect in a small-block zigzag, for a bold, graphic parquet floor. The 2.5mm blocks are waterproof glue-down vinyl and suitable for underfloor heating.

Look and character

Its colour is listed as black, so expect a much darker, more dramatic floor than a traditional brown herringbone. The grain print still shows through, so the blocks keep a wood-effect texture rather than looking painted. Against white walls and light joinery the pattern becomes a strong feature; with dark cabinetry it creates a moody, enveloping scheme. The embossed surface adds tactile detail. Very dark floors change a lot with the light in each room, so a sample is worth having.

Construction and specification

Each block is 2.5mm thick, a slim profile that suits renovations where floor height is tight. The 0.55mm wear layer is the working surface of the floor: the part that meets feet, furniture and the mop. Rated for homes and commercial spaces alike, it is made for regular foot traffic. Blocks are 95mm wide and 380mm long, a compact parquet size that gives a detailed herringbone. One pack covers 2.6 m².

Where it works

You can use it through most of the house: living and dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways, kitchens, bathrooms and conservatories. Herringbone looks particularly good in hallways, where the pattern leads you through the house. Being waterproof, it copes with the splashes of a family bathroom and the spills of a busy kitchen. Fitting and underfloor heating

Installation is glue down only, with the blocks stuck directly to a prepared subfloor. Allow about 10% extra for cuts and waste, as the herringbone needs careful set-out and edge cuts. Good preparation matters: a flat, clean, dry subfloor gives the best result, as the thin vinyl follows whatever is underneath.
