Westbury Fine Herringbone Glue Down LVT

Westbury Fine Herringbone is a dark brown oak effect in slim blocks, for a rich, traditional parquet floor. It is waterproof glue-down LVT with a hard-wearing top layer.

Look and character

Deep brown tones give the fine herringbone a classic, stately feel, like an old parquet floor in a period townhouse. The narrow blocks create an intricate pattern, and the dark colour gives it depth. It looks best in rooms with good light, and it makes a strong contrast against pale walls, white skirting and light rugs. For a moodier scheme, pair it with deep greens or navy.

Construction and specification

At 2.5mm thick, the floor adds very little height, which helps where door clearances or the level of the next room matter. A 0.7mm clear wear layer shields the design underneath from everyday traffic. Rated for homes and commercial spaces alike, it is made for regular foot traffic. Blocks are 76mm wide and 457.2mm long, a slim, elongated shape that gives a fine herringbone. One pack covers 3.34 m². The vinyl construction is waterproof, which is what makes it practical in kitchens and bathrooms.

Where it works

Herringbone looks particularly good in hallways, where the pattern leads you through the house. Good places for it include hallways, kitchens, living rooms and dining rooms, as well as bedrooms, bathrooms and conservatories. Water sits on the surface rather than soaking in, so wiping up spills is quick. See our full range of glue-down LVT flooring to compare colours.

Fitting and underfloor heating

Every block is glued to the subfloor, which gives a firm, stable floor that stays put. Patterned floors take more cutting at the edges, so add about 10% to your room size for cuts and waste. Before fitting, the subfloor should be smoothed and levelled so no lumps or joints show through. Glue-down LVT is best fitted by a professional who can prepare the subfloor properly. It is suitable for underfloor heating.
