Dark Earl Grey Oak Herringbone 12mm Laminate

Dark Earl Grey Oak Herringbone is a bold, deep grey parquet-style laminate from our Flair range. The 101mm blocks laid in a zigzag give a dramatic, modern take on a classic floor pattern.

Look and character

The colour is a deep grey with oak-style grain showing through, darker and moodier than most grey floors. In a herringbone, the grain changes direction with every block, so the floor shows subtle shifts of tone across the room rather than a single flat grey. It suits modern and traditional spaces alike, and it looks sharp with white or pale grey walls, black metal, marble-effect surfaces and rich jewel colours. Deep tones show dust more readily than mid shades, so a regular sweep keeps it at its best.

Construction and specification

The 12mm build has real body to it, so the floor feels steady when you walk across it and sounds less hollow once laid over a good underlay. The manufacturer rates it for both domestic and commercial use, so it is made to handle busy rooms. Each pack covers 1.836 m² of floor. At 101mm by 606mm, the blocks are proportioned like traditional parquet.

Where it works

You can lay it in kitchens, bedrooms, conservatories, hallways, living rooms and bathrooms. In hallways, a doormat at the entrance catches grit before it reaches the floor. See the full herringbone laminate flooring collection to compare block sizes and colours.

Fitting and underfloor heating

Talk to us about the fitting method and the right flooring underlay for your subfloor before you order. Allow around 10% extra for cuts and waste; a herringbone layout creates more offcuts at the edges of the room. You can lay it over underfloor heating, which is suitable for this floor; browse more flooring for underfloor heating.
