Glacier Oak Herringbone 12mm Laminate

Glacier Oak Herringbone is a soft, beige-brown parquet-style laminate from our Craft range, made for a clean Scandinavian look. Subtle hints of pink and grey give the light colour a calm, modern character.

Look and character

The main tone is a light beige-brown with gentle natural variation, the kind of pale oak look often associated with Scandinavian interiors. Look closer and you will see faint pink and grey hints, which stop the floor from looking flat or cold. The small 95mm blocks create a detailed herringbone, and the textured and embossed surface adds a subtle grain. It works well with white and warm grey walls, blush and clay tones, light woods and simple, pared-back furniture.

Construction and specification

With a 12mm core, the floor has a sturdy, grounded feel that suits busy family rooms. The 4V bevel on every edge makes each block stand out slightly from its neighbours, which adds realism. The AC5 rating is the top of the usual laminate scale and means the surface is built to cope with heavy foot traffic, so hallways and busy family rooms are well within its range. At 95mm by 470mm, the blocks are proportioned like traditional parquet. Packs cover 1.607 m² each, so round up to the next full pack.

Where it works

Use it in living rooms, conservatories, hallways, bedrooms, dining rooms, kitchens and bathrooms. Felt pads under dining chairs help keep the surface looking fresh. Fitting and underfloor heating

Fitting uses a click system, with the finished floor laid floating over an underlay. Choose the right underlay for laminate for your subfloor; it evens out minor bumps and cuts down noise. Allow around 10% extra for cuts and waste; a herringbone layout creates more offcuts at the edges of the room.
