Desert Oak Herringbone 12mm Laminate

Desert Oak Herringbone is a light, warm oak parquet-style laminate that brings classic herringbone style to everyday rooms. The 100mm by 600mm blocks give a traditional pattern with the practicality of a 12mm, AC4-rated laminate.

Look and character

The colour is a light, warm oak with soft beige and golden variation, warmer than a pale Scandinavian oak. That warmth gives the floor a comfortable, homely feel and a bit more depth, which suits rooms that get cooler light. The herringbone layout adds pattern and movement, and the textured and embossed surface follows the oak-effect grain. It pairs well with cream and warm white walls, natural wood furniture, woven textures and brass or antique bronze fittings.

Construction and specification

The 12mm build has real body to it, so the floor feels steady when you walk across it and sounds less hollow once laid over a good underlay. Each pack covers 1.92 m² of floor. A 4V bevel runs along all four edges of every block, giving each one a defined outline, as a wooden floor would have. At 100mm by 600mm, the blocks are proportioned like traditional parquet. With an AC4 rating, the wear layer is rated for the busiest rooms in a home and for general commercial footfall.

Where it works

You can lay it in kitchens, dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways, conservatories, living rooms and bathrooms. Fitting and underfloor heating

Fitting uses a click system, with the finished floor laid floating over an underlay. Lay it over a suitable flooring underlay, which smooths out small bumps and softens footfall noise. Order about 10% more than the measured area, because the angled layout means extra cuts along each wall.
