Feather Grey Oak Herringbone Click LVT

Feather Grey Oak brings a soft, contemporary grey to the herringbone pattern. It comes as a 126mm Hydro Pro click vinyl block, waterproof and hard-wearing, so the look can carry through the whole ground floor.

Look and character

The grey is a medium tone, and as the name suggests it has a light, soft quality rather than a heavy one. In a herringbone layout it gives a smart, tailored floor that works with white or grey kitchens, black metal and glass. The textured and embossed finish adds grain you can feel, while 4V bevels outline each block for a clear zigzag.

Construction and specification

Each block is 126mm by 610mm and 6mm thick, and you get 2.4596 m² in a pack. On top of the printed design sits a 0.3mm wear layer: a clear, hard-wearing coat that guards the colour against scratches and scuffs. The core is waterproof vinyl, which won't swell if it gets wet, and the Hydro Pro range is rated for domestic and commercial traffic.

Where it works

Because it is waterproof, Feather Grey Oak can go in every room on the list: living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways, kitchens, conservatories and bathrooms. That lets you run one floor through the ground floor without the colour changing at each doorway. It can also continue up the stairs, finished with matching stair nosing on each tread. Compare it with our other herringbone click LVT floors before you decide.

Fitting and underfloor heating

Fitting is by click system: the blocks lock together along their edges, which makes it a manageable job for a confident DIYer as well as a professional fitter. Herringbone needs a little more planning than straight planks, so set out a straight guide line and dry-lay a few rows first. Feather Grey Oak is suitable for underfloor heating; see more floors for underfloor heating if you want to compare. Ask us which flooring underlay, if any, is right for your subfloor before you order. Remember to allow roughly 10% extra for cutting and waste.
