Golden Wheat Oak 125mm Engineered Plank, 18/5mm

This version of Golden Wheat Oak uses a thicker 18/5mm build and a calmer Classic grade face. The 125mm boards come in random lengths with a smooth lacquered finish, from our Nature range.

Look and character

It shares the warm, wheat-gold colour of its slimmer sibling, but with fewer and smaller knots, so the floor reads as smoother and more even. There is no brushing here: the plain lacquered surface lets the grain show cleanly under a soft, protective sheen. The golden beige tone brightens a room without going pale, and it suits both modern kitchens and traditional sitting rooms. If you prefer a busier, knottier look in the same colour, compare it with the slimmer, more rustic Golden Wheat Oak.

Construction and specification

It comes 125mm wide in mixed lengths, packed to cover 1.2 m² per pack. With a bevel on the long edges only (2V), the floor has clear lengthwise lines and quieter end joints. A 18/5mm build means 18mm in total, with 5mm of real oak forming the surface you walk on. A multi-ply core does the structural work, keeping movement low when the room warms up or cools down. Lacquer sits on the surface as a protective film, which makes it an easy floor to keep clean day to day.

Where it works

Living and dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways, kitchens and conservatories are all good places for it. It can go up the stairs as well, finished with matching stair nosing on each tread.

Fitting and underfloor heating

It is suitable for underfloor heating; see our underfloor heating flooring for other options. It is a tongue and groove board that can be glued down or floated over underlay, depending on your subfloor. For a floating installation, choose a flooring underlay that matches your subfloor. Allow roughly 10% extra on top of your measured area for cutting and waste.
