Pale Invisible Lacquered Oak is a light, low-sheen engineered plank from our Nevada range. The 190mm boards come in 1900mm lengths, lightly brushed and sealed under a matt lacquer that almost disappears.
The oak is kept pale and natural, with a fresh, slightly whitened look. Light brushing adds a subtle texture to the grain, and the matt lacquer protects it without the shine or yellowing of a traditional lacquer, so the floor looks close to bare timber. Classic grade oak keeps knots modest. Pale boards reflect daylight around a room, making it a strong option for small spaces, north-facing rooms and modern Scandinavian-style schemes with white walls and natural textiles.
The board is 14mm thick overall, and the top 3mm is real oak. When it needs renewing, a 3mm top layer can be lightly sanded and refinished. Beneath it sits a multi-ply base of cross-laid layers, which resists the swelling and shrinking that solid boards can suffer as heating and humidity change. The lacquer forms a sealed coat on top of the wood, so everyday spills wipe off and routine cleaning is simple. It comes 190mm wide in 1900mm lengths, packed to cover 2.888 m² per pack. All four edges carry a 4V bevel, which gives each plank a crisp outline across the room.
Living and dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways, kitchens and conservatories are all good places for it. The same boards can continue onto the stairs, with stair nosing to finish each step.
You can glue it down or lay it floating; the tongue and groove edges join each board to the next. Add about 10% to your room size for cuts and waste.
