London Invisible Oak in the 220mm width gives you the look of freshly planed, untreated oak with the protection of a lacquer. Long 2200mm Nevada XL boards make a clean, minimal floor for contemporary homes.
The oak keeps its pale natural colour, with no amber tint and almost no sheen, thanks to an invisible matt lacquer. The grain is soft and quiet, and Classic grade selection keeps knots small, so the overall effect is calm and uncluttered. Wide boards show off long runs of that pale grain with few joints to interrupt it. It is the kind of floor that suits white walls, plaster finishes, pale timber furniture and modern kitchens, where the aim is a light, natural surface that doesn't compete with anything else.
Planks measure 220mm wide by 2200mm long, and each pack covers 2.904 m². The board is 15mm thick overall, and the top 4mm is real oak. A multi-ply core does the structural work, keeping movement low when the room warms up or cools down. The matt lacquer protects the wood while keeping the sheen low, so the floor looks closer to bare timber. The long edges are bevelled (2V), so you see the long lines of the boards while the ends butt up tight.
Living and dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways, kitchens and conservatories are all good places for it. It can go up the stairs as well, finished with matching stair nosing on each tread.
It can be laid over underfloor heating; more choices are in our underfloor heating flooring collection. The boards join with a tongue and groove and can be laid floating over underlay or glued down to a prepared subfloor. Finish the room edges with scotia beading to cover the expansion gap. Add about 10% to your room size for cuts and waste.
