Wheatfield Oak is a warm, welcoming engineered plank from our Cambridge range, in a colour that recalls a field of ripe wheat. Its 190mm by 1900mm Rustic grade boards are brushed and oiled.
The tone is a soft golden beige, warmer than a pale oak and lighter than a honey shade. Rustic grade selection brings knots and grain movement that give the floor an easy, natural character, and brushing adds texture you can feel. The oil keeps the surface matt, so the warm colour looks natural rather than coated. It suits both contemporary and traditional interiors, and sits well with off-white walls, natural fabrics and rattan or oak furniture.
This is a 14/3mm engineered board: 14mm from face to underside, of which the upper 3mm is real oak. The core is multi-ply, with layers running in opposite directions so the board stays flat through the seasons. The oil finish is easy to refresh: scuffed areas can be cleaned and re-oiled without sanding the whole room. Planks measure 190mm wide by 1900mm long, and each pack covers 2.166 m². It is a versatile width that sits comfortably in both small and large rooms. The long edges are bevelled (2V), so you see the long lines of the boards while the ends butt up tight.
It is at home in hallways, living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms, and works in kitchens and conservatories with a little care. The middle-of-the-range colour pairs easily with both light and dark furniture. It can go up the stairs as well, finished with matching stair nosing on each tread.
It is a tongue and groove board that can be glued down or floated over underlay, depending on your subfloor. For a floating installation, choose a flooring underlay that matches your subfloor. It can be laid over underfloor heating; more choices are in our underfloor heating flooring collection. When you work out quantities, add around 10% for offcuts and waste.
Mid-tone oak can read warmer or cooler depending on the daylight, so see it in your own room first. Order up to 3 large free samples and compare them side by side.
This product features a Tongue & Groove installation system. It can be floated over an underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor.
