Brushed Natural Oak Hand Scraped keeps the honest colour of oak and adds texture by hand. It is a 180mm Nature engineered plank on a 20mm board, with a 6mm real oak top layer that has been scraped, brushed and lacquered.
Where its golden and antique siblings add colour, this one stays close to untreated oak: a light-to-mid natural tone with lighter and darker grain lines running through it. The hand-scraped surface has soft, irregular hollows, so the floor looks shaped by hand rather than machined flat. Brushing opens the grain, and a lacquer coat locks it in with a gentle sheen and a surface that is simple to wipe clean. As Classic grade oak it has small natural knots rather than heavy character. It suits almost any interior, from a modern kitchen-diner to a Victorian terrace.
A 20/6mm build means 20mm in total, with 6mm of real oak forming the surface you walk on. Under the face is a cross-bonded multi-ply core, which is what lets an engineered plank cope with central heating better than a solid board of the same size. The lacquer forms a sealed coat on top of the wood, so everyday spills wipe off and routine cleaning is simple. Planks measure 180mm wide by 1860mm long, and each pack covers 1.674 m². With a bevel on the long edges only (2V), the floor has clear lengthwise lines and quieter end joints.
You can run it from the hallway into living and dining rooms, and use it in bedrooms, kitchens and conservatories too. Carrying the floor up the staircase is possible; use stair nosing to finish the tread edges neatly.
The boards join with a tongue and groove and can be laid floating over underlay or glued down to a prepared subfloor. Add about 10% to your room size for cuts and waste. For a floating installation, choose a flooring underlay that matches your subfloor. It is suitable for underfloor heating.
Oak colour changes with the light in each room, so judge it at home rather than on screen. Pick up to 3 large free samples to compare at home.
This product features a Tongue & Groove installation system. It can be floated over an underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor.
