Rustic Smoked Oak 220mm Engineered Plank

Rustic Smoked Oak combines the deep colour of smoked timber with the knots and grain of a Rustic grade board. Wide 220mm Nevada planks in 2200mm lengths are brushed and oiled for a matt, textured finish.

Look and character

Smoking darkens the oak to a rich brown with cool, smoky undertones, and in a rustic board the knots and grain take the colour differently, so they stand out as darker markings. Brushing lifts the grain for texture, and the oil leaves a matt surface without shine. The result is a moody, characterful floor that feels warm in lamplight and dramatic in daylight. It works in industrial-style spaces, snugs, dining rooms and large open-plan rooms with pale walls to balance the depth of colour.

Construction and specification

The board is 14mm thick overall, and the top 3mm is real oak. A multi-ply core does the structural work, keeping movement low when the room warms up or cools down. Boards are 2200mm long and 220mm wide, with 2.904 m² in every pack. The 4V bevel runs round every edge, adding definition and a slightly more rustic, board-by-board look. Oil nourishes the timber from within and keeps a natural, matt feel; it benefits from a maintenance oil now and then.

Where it works

You can run it from the hallway into living and dining rooms, and use it in bedrooms, kitchens and conservatories too. For stairs, pair it with stair nosing so each step has a clean, safe edge. Felt pads under table and chair legs will keep dining room and kitchen floors looking their best.

It is a tongue and groove board that can be glued down or floated over underlay, depending on your subfloor. For a floating installation, choose a flooring underlay that matches your subfloor. Order about 10% more than the floor area to cover cuts and waste.
