Description

Alpine Lacquered Oak is a pale, white-toned engineered plank from our Nevada range. Its 220mm width and long 2200mm boards give a calm, open floor with few joints, and the brushed lacquer keeps the surface easy to live with.

Look and character

The colour sits at the light end of the scale: oak washed towards white, with the natural grain still showing through rather than hidden under paint. Brushing opens the grain slightly, so there is a gentle texture under the lacquer, and the lacquer itself adds a soft sheen instead of a flat, raw look. As a Classic grade oak it has small knots and some natural variation, enough to look like real timber without busy character. Wide boards and a light tone together make a room feel bigger, which is why this colour suits open-plan spaces, Scandinavian-style interiors and rooms that need brightening.

Construction and specification

This is a 14/3mm engineered board: 14mm from face to underside, of which the upper 3mm is real oak. The core is multi-ply, with layers running in opposite directions so the board stays flat through the seasons. The lacquer forms a sealed coat on top of the wood, so everyday spills wipe off and routine cleaning is simple. Boards are 2200mm long and 220mm wide, with 2.904 m² in every pack. A small bevel on all four edges (4V) outlines every board, so the planks read individually and minor height differences are hidden.

Where it works

Living and dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways, kitchens and conservatories are all good places for it. It can go up the stairs as well, finished with matching stair nosing on each tread.

Fitting and underfloor heating

It is suitable for underfloor heating. You can glue it down or lay it floating; the tongue and groove edges join each board to the next. For a floating installation, choose a flooring underlay that matches your subfloor. Order about 10% more than the floor area to cover cuts and waste.
