Sandstone Oak Herringbone Glue Down LVT

Sandstone Oak Herringbone is a light grey-beige oak effect in large herringbone blocks, a soft, neutral parquet floor in waterproof glue-down LVT.

Look and character

Grey and beige combine into a gentle greige that suits both warm and cool colour schemes. In big blocks the pattern is broad, giving the floor movement without fussiness. It works well with stone, linen and pale timber, and it helps a large herringbone feel calm rather than dominant.

Construction and specification

Each block measures 150 x 750mm, much bigger than traditional parquet, which suits larger rooms. One pack covers 3.6 m². The overall thickness is 3mm. Glue-down vinyl stays close to the subfloor, so it sits neatly against neighbouring floors and under doors. Its wear layer measures 0.7mm. That transparent top layer protects the decorative print, and a thicker wear layer generally means a longer-lasting surface. Its domestic and commercial rating means it is built for more than light use.

Where it works

You can use it through most of the house: living and dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways, kitchens, bathrooms and conservatories. Large herringbone blocks suit bigger rooms and open-plan spaces, where a small pattern can look busy. As a waterproof floor, it handles spills, wet boots and bathroom splashes that a wood floor would not like. Fitting and underfloor heating

Installation is glue down only, with the blocks stuck directly to a prepared subfloor. The subfloor needs to be smooth, level and dry first, as a thin vinyl will show any bumps beneath it; a levelling compound or ply overlay is usual. Patterned floors take more cutting at the edges, so add about 10% to your room size for cuts and waste. It is suitable for underfloor heating. Finish the room edges with skirting or beading for a tidy result.
