Unfinished Oak 300mm Engineered Plank

The Raw XXL Unfinished Oak is a statement board: 300mm wide and 2200mm long, supplied without a factory finish. It is the widest canvas in the Raw range for creating your own colour and sheen.

Look and character

At this width each board shows a broad sweep of oak grain, and there are very few joints across even a large room, so the floor looks calm and architectural. The unfinished face is fresh natural oak, and Classic grade selection keeps knots small. After fitting, it can be oiled, lacquered, stained or tinted to suit your scheme, from a pale raw look to a deep smoked colour. It suits large open-plan spaces, barn and loft conversions, and design-led projects where the floor is a feature.

Construction and specification

Each plank is 20mm deep, with a 4mm real oak top layer bonded to the core. A multi-ply core does the structural work, keeping movement low when the room warms up or cools down. No factory finish is applied: it needs sealing with your chosen oil or lacquer after installation. Boards are 2200mm long and 300mm wide, with 2.64 m² in every pack. All four edges carry a 4V bevel, which gives each plank a crisp outline across the room.

Where it works

It is at home in hallways, living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms, and works in kitchens and conservatories with a little care. Carrying the floor up the staircase is possible; use stair nosing to finish the tread edges neatly.

Fitting and underfloor heating

Fitting is tongue and groove, either as a floating floor over a good underlay or fully glued to the subfloor. If you float it, pick an underlay from our flooring underlay range to go beneath it. This floor is suitable for underfloor heating, and you can compare it with the rest of our underfloor heating flooring. Order about 10% more than the floor area to cover cuts and waste.
