Grey Oak 12mm Laminate

Grey Oak is a light, modern grey laminate from our Premium range. Long 1375mm planks and subtle grey tones give a sleek floor that suits anything from minimalist to industrial interiors.

Look and character

The colour is a subtle, light grey with realistic oak grain running the length of each board. It is understated, so it lets furniture, art and colour take centre stage. The long planks mean fewer end joints across a room, which gives a calm, streamlined look, and the 4V bevels add depth by picking out every board. The textured surface follows the grain. It suits white and grey walls, concrete-look worktops, black steel and glass, and it softens nicely with rugs and warm lighting.

Construction and specification

The 12mm build has real body to it, so the floor feels steady when you walk across it and sounds less hollow once laid over a good underlay. With planks of 188mm by 1375mm, the floor has a familiar, well-balanced board size. A 4V bevel runs along all four edges of every plank, giving each one a defined outline, as a wooden floor would have. The AC5 rating is the top of the usual laminate scale and means the surface is built to cope with heavy foot traffic, so hallways and busy family rooms are well within its range. One pack covers 1.293 m².

Fitting and underfloor heating

Installation is click and floating, which means the planks join edge to edge and rest on an underlay instead of being stuck down. Lay it over a suitable flooring underlay, which smooths out small bumps and softens footfall noise. Add about 10% to your room size for cuts and waste.
