Rustic Oak 12mm Laminate

Rustic Oak is a warm, mid-brown laminate from our Premium range, bringing the inviting tones of a traditional oak floor to long 1375mm planks. It is a hard-wearing, AC5-rated option for family rooms and hallways.

Look and character

The colour is a medium brown oak with rich, inviting tones and a lively grain. The rustic look means more variation along the boards, which keeps the floor interesting and helps it cope with daily life without looking marked. The textured surface adds realism to the grain, and 4V bevels give the long planks a classic outline. It suits farmhouse and cottage-style kitchens, traditional living rooms and cosy bedrooms, and goes well with cream walls, woven textures and dark metal.

Construction and specification

With a 12mm core, the floor has a sturdy, grounded feel that suits busy family rooms. An AC5 rating tells you the wear surface is made for heavy traffic, well beyond everyday domestic use, so busy areas of the home are no problem. Each plank is 188mm wide and 1375mm long, a classic proportion that reads as a traditional boarded floor. A 4V bevel runs along all four edges of every plank, giving each one a defined outline, as a wooden floor would have. Packs cover 1.293 m² each, so round up to the next full pack.

Where it works

You can lay it in hallways, kitchens, dining rooms, bedrooms, conservatories, living rooms and bathrooms. In hallways, a doormat at the entrance catches grit before it reaches the floor. Taking it up the stairs? Finish each tread with stair nosing for a neat, safe edge. Browse more plank laminate flooring to compare tones side by side.

Fitting and underfloor heating

The planks click together and are laid as a floating floor, so nothing is fixed down to the subfloor. Lay it over a suitable flooring underlay, which smooths out small bumps and softens footfall noise. Remember to add around 10% to the measured area to cover cuts and waste. It is suitable for underfloor heating; see our underfloor heating flooring for other options.
