Nude Oak 12mm Laminate

Nude Oak is a light, soft brown laminate from our Cambridge range, a gentle neutral that sits between pale and natural oak. It gives rooms a warm, understated floor on a tough 12mm, AC5 plank.

Look and character

The colour is a light brown with a soft, skin-toned warmth, as its name suggests, and a quiet oak grain. It is calm and neutral without being cold, so it suits people who want a light floor that still feels homely. The textured and embossed surface gives the grain depth, and the 4V bevels outline every board. Pair it with warm white, blush or putty walls, cream and oatmeal fabrics, and light oak or rattan furniture.

Construction and specification

At 12mm, these planks sit at the thicker end of laminate, which gives a firmer and quieter feel underfoot than slimmer boards. The planks measure 188mm by 1195mm, long enough to run cleanly through a room with few joints. One pack covers 1.35 m². AC5 is the highest wear class you will usually see on laminate, rated for heavy commercial traffic, which gives plenty of headroom in a busy home. All four edges carry a small 4V bevel, which outlines each plank and adds depth to the floor.

Where it works

Use it in conservatories, kitchens, hallways, dining rooms, bedrooms, living rooms and bathrooms. Put a good doormat at the front door to catch grit, which is the main thing that dulls any floor over time. For stairs, pair it with laminate stair nosing so the edge of every step is protected. Fitting and underfloor heating

Installation is click and floating, which means the planks join edge to edge and rest on an underlay instead of being stuck down. Choose the right underlay for laminate for your subfloor; it evens out minor bumps and cuts down noise. Remember to add around 10% to the measured area to cover cuts and waste. It is suitable for underfloor heating; see our underfloor heating flooring for other options.
