Grey Beige Oak 12mm Laminate

Grey Beige Oak is a rustic-toned laminate plank that blends soft grey and beige into a versatile greige. Subtle knots, markings and streaks give the 196mm boards the character of a natural oak floor.

Look and character

The colour sits in the middle ground between cool grey and warm beige, so it goes with most palettes. Rustic detail runs through the boards, with small knots and streaks that break up the surface and stop it looking repetitive. That natural variation also helps hide daily wear. The textured and embossed finish adds a gentle grain underfoot, and bevelled edges outline the planks. Pair it with off-white, stone or sage walls, and mix warm and cool materials such as oak, linen, black metal and brass.

Construction and specification

A 12mm thickness means more substance than an entry-level laminate: the planks feel solid underfoot and bridge small dips in the subfloor better. It carries an AC4 abrasion rating, which covers busy homes and light commercial spaces, so daily footfall, chair legs and kids are well within its range. One pack covers 1.43 m². Each plank is 196mm wide and 1215mm long, a classic proportion that reads as a traditional boarded floor. All four edges carry a small 4V bevel, which outlines each plank and adds depth to the floor.

Where it works

It is a good fit for dining rooms, conservatories, kitchens, bedrooms, hallways, living rooms and bathrooms. Felt pads under dining chairs help keep the surface looking fresh. Fitting and underfloor heating

Installation is click and floating, which means the planks join edge to edge and rest on an underlay instead of being stuck down. A good laminate underlay goes underneath to level small imperfections and quieten the floor. Remember to add around 10% to the measured area to cover cuts and waste. It is suitable for underfloor heating. Neat scotia beading around the skirting hides the expansion gap.
