Weathered White Oak 12mm Laminate

Weathered White Oak is a light, airy laminate from our Home Classic range, with the washed look of oak that has faded over time. The 195mm planks give a bright, relaxed floor.

Look and character

The colour is a pale, white-washed oak with a weathered feel, as though the boards had been bleached by sun and scrubbing. The grain still shows through, so the floor looks natural rather than painted. The textured and embossed surface adds a grain you can feel, and the 4V bevel outlines every plank. It suits coastal, Scandinavian and country-style schemes, and looks good with white or soft blue walls, driftwood tones and natural linen.

Construction and specification

The 12mm build has real body to it, so the floor feels steady when you walk across it and sounds less hollow once laid over a good underlay. Packs cover 1.51 m² each, so round up to the next full pack. All four edges carry a small 4V bevel, which outlines each plank and adds depth to the floor. Plank size is 195mm wide by 1288mm long, which keeps the layout calm and uncluttered. The AC4 rating means the surface is tested for heavy domestic traffic and general commercial use, so it copes well with hallways and family rooms.

Where it works

Use it in living rooms, conservatories, bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways, kitchens and bathrooms. Fit felt pads to chair and table legs to protect the surface. Fitting and underfloor heating

The planks click together and are laid as a floating floor, so nothing is fixed down to the subfloor. A good laminate underlay goes underneath to level small imperfections and quieten the floor.
