Natural Brushed & Oiled Oak 150mm Solid Plank

At 150mm wide, this is the broader version of our Natural Brushed & Oiled Oak. Each 18mm solid oak plank shows more of the grain across its face, giving a relaxed, spacious floor that suits larger rooms and open-plan living.

Look and character

Wider boards mean fewer joins across the room, so the natural mid-oak colour and grain have space to breathe. The brushed surface gives each plank a texture you can feel underfoot, and the oil finish protects the wood while leaving it looking natural rather than coated. In Classic grade, you will see grain variation and natural knots across the floor. It suits rooms with high ceilings, big windows and simple furniture, from barn conversions to modern extensions.

Construction and specification

Solid wood means exactly that: each plank is a single piece of oak, 18mm thick. There is no thin top layer to wear through, so the surface can be sanded and refinished more often than an engineered floor over its life. The planks are 150mm wide in random lengths, with 1.08 m² in each pack, and the Classic grade allows natural knots and grain variation.

Where it works

It is a floor for the main living spaces: lounges, dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways and conservatories, plus stairs with a matching stair nosing. As with any solid wood, keep it out of wet rooms. You can compare it with the rest of our solid oak plank floors.

Fitting

It can be laid tongue and groove, glued down or nailed down to a sound subfloor. Add around 10% to your order for cuts and waste, and trim the perimeter with scotia beading.
