This Natural Brushed Oiled Oak is the rustic member of the family: a 150mm Nevada engineered plank in random lengths, with more knots and colour movement than the calmer versions of this colour.
The base colour is warm natural oak, but Rustic grade selection brings bigger knots, stronger grain and more variation between boards, so the floor has an easy, country feel. Brushing gives the surface a tactile texture and the oil keeps it matt and natural. The width is a comfortable middle ground, wider than traditional strip flooring but not as bold as a wide plank. It suits farmhouse kitchens, cottages and relaxed family rooms where a bit of character is welcome.
The board is 14mm thick overall, and the top 3mm is real oak. A multi-ply core does the structural work, keeping movement low when the room warms up or cools down. A 3mm wear surface allows a sand and refinish later on, which a vinyl or laminate floor cannot offer. Planks are 150mm wide in random lengths, and each pack covers 1.44 m². It is a classic board width with a traditional feel that suits most room sizes. The oil finish is easy to refresh: scuffed areas can be cleaned and re-oiled without sanding the whole room.
Living and dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways, kitchens and conservatories are all good places for it. Carrying the floor up the staircase is possible; use stair nosing to finish the tread edges neatly.
The boards join with a tongue and groove and can be laid floating over underlay or glued down to a prepared subfloor. Order about 10% more than the floor area to cover cuts and waste. Floating floors need the right underlay, and our flooring underlay range covers the common subfloors. This floor is suitable for underfloor heating, and you can compare it with the rest of our underfloor heating flooring.
Mid-tone oak can read warmer or cooler depending on the daylight, so see it in your own room first. You can have 3 large free samples.
This product features a Tongue & Groove installation system. It can be floated over an underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor.
