Savannah Oak Herringbone 12mm Laminate

Savannah Oak Herringbone is a light oak parquet-style laminate with pale cream tones. It brings pattern to a room without the weight of a dark or heavily rustic floor, in 100mm blocks on a 12mm board.

Look and character

The colour is a pale cream and light beige oak with an oak-effect grain and a textured, embossed surface. It gives a bright, understated floor, and the herringbone adds interest through pattern rather than strong colour changes. The soft, light tone works well with white walls, muted kitchen cabinets and natural textures, and it can help link different finishes in an open-plan space, such as grey cabinetry next to timber furniture. It is oak-effect laminate, not solid or engineered oak.

Construction and specification

With a 12mm core, the floor has a sturdy, grounded feel that suits busy family rooms. Each block is 100mm wide and 600mm long, laid in a zigzag to form the herringbone. Packs cover 1.92 m² each, so round up to the next full pack. It carries an AC4 abrasion rating, which covers busy homes and light commercial spaces, so daily footfall, chair legs and kids are well within its range. All four edges carry a small 4V bevel, which outlines each block and adds depth to the floor.

Where it works

You can lay it in dining rooms, kitchens, hallways, conservatories, living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms. Fit felt pads to chair and table legs to protect the surface. Fitting and underfloor heating

Fitting uses a click system, with the finished floor laid floating over an underlay. Lay it over a suitable flooring underlay, which smooths out small bumps and softens footfall noise. Allow around 10% extra for cuts and waste; a herringbone layout creates more offcuts at the edges of the room. It is suitable for underfloor heating. Finish the edges of the room with scotia beading to cover the expansion gap.
