Floor types

Flooring in Coventry: what we supply

Glue-down or click? Floating or fixed? Each type below is laid differently – here's what to know before you choose.

  • Engineered wood flooring in Coventry

Engineered boards can be glued down, secret-nailed to timber or floated over underlay, which makes them the most flexible real-wood floor. Tell us your subfloor and we'll recommend a method.
    • Real oak top layer
    • Suits underfloor heating
    Shop engineered wood

  • Laminate flooring in Coventry

Laminate is the budget-friendly route to a hard-wearing wood look. Check the AC rating: AC4 suits most homes, AC5 the rooms with the heaviest traffic.
    • AC4 and AC5 ratings
    • Scratch-resistant
    Shop laminate

  • Solid wood flooring in Coventry

Solid oak brings the weight and sound of real timber. It moves more with humidity than engineered wood, so acclimatising the boards before fitting matters.
    • Solid timber
    • Can be re-sanded
    Shop solid wood

  • Herringbone, parquet & chevron in Coventry

Compare parquet & herringbone with chevron samples on your own floor – a pattern looks different at full size than on a screen.
    • Herringbone
    • Chevron
    Shop parquet & herringbone

  • Luxury vinyl (LVT) flooring in Coventry

Glue-down LVT is thin and fixed to a smoothed subfloor – ideal for bathrooms and big open rooms. Click (SPC) LVT has a rigid core that floats and forgives small dips.
    • Water-resistant
    • Glue-down or click

Flooring fitters in Coventry: supply and fit

We do a lot of supply-and-fit work in Coventry. LVT is a good example of why fitting matters: glue-down vinyl shows every bump beneath it, so the subfloor is smoothed and levelled first, while click (SPC) boards float over a sound base with the right underlay. We fit both, along with engineered, solid and laminate floors, skirting and architraves.

Not sure which suits your rooms? Our glue-down vinyl guide and click vinyl guide show what each involves. When you're ready, book a free home consultation and we'll measure and quote. See expert fitting for how a job runs.

Samples first, then flooring online

Order samples first, then flooring online – or ring us to work out the packs. We deliver to CV1–CV6, CV8 (Kenilworth) and CV10–CV12 (Nuneaton and Bedworth). Measure with our measuring guide and add around 10% for cutting.
