Supplying your own fitter
Picking a floor for a Glasgow home
Three questions shape the choice: what's under the floor, which room it's for, and how the packs get inside.
-
Glue-down LVT for kitchens and bathrooms
Waterproof and fixed flat, it needs a smooth, level base – your fitter will prepare the subfloor before laying.- Water-resistant
- Glue-down
-
Click LVT for flats and upper floors
Click vinyl floats over underlay, so there's no adhesive to cure, and the packs are lighter to carry up than solid wood. Ask your fitter or factor about any underlay rules for your building.- Click-fit
- Floating
-
Engineered oak for living rooms
A real oak surface on a stable core, happier with central heating than solid wood. It can be floated or glued, depending on what your fitter finds underneath.- Real oak top layer
