Flooring fitters in Sutton Coldfield: supply and fit

Large rooms and long runs of oak are unforgiving. A dip of a few millimetres shows as a shadow across wide boards, and a pattern that starts a degree out drifts by the far wall. So in Sutton Coldfield our fitters start with the subfloor – levelling, screed checks, underfloor heating – before a single board goes down. The team behind Flooring Surgeons has more than 30 years in the trade; we fit floating and glue-down floors, and finish with skirting and architraves.

Period house or new build, the process is the same: a free home consultation, large samples in your own light, careful measuring and a no-obligation quote. See how our fitting service works.

Planning a premium oak floor

Three things are worth settling early: the plank width (read narrow vs wide planks), the pattern (herringbone or chevron) and the finish (oiled or lacquered). Running one floor through several rooms makes a home feel bigger – ask us where it will need expansion breaks.
